Stability :
Data not available.
Uses in perfumery :
Galbanolene is a synthetic green galbanum note. Extremely powerful, its usage is usually done with a 10% solution. It brings character and lift to a green note. Interesting to play on the naturalness degree of a fruit, for the stem side of a flower, in lilies of the valley or for reconstitutions of Galbanum EO or Neroli EO.
Year of discovery :
Patent EP0203615A1 (1985) reports an earlier synthesis dating from 1967.
Isomerism :
Occurs as a mixture of two diastereomers. 1,3(E),5(Z) and 1,3(E),5(E) The ratio of these two molecules may vary from one supplier to another
Synthesis precursor :
Data not available.
Natural availability :
It occurs in trace amounts in Celery Seed EO as well as in Galbanum EO
