Uses
Other comments :
Stability :
Very Stable
Uses in perfumery :
Rarely used as such. Patchoulol is however very present in our formulas because it is a component of Patchouli EO It is therefore very commun to find it in the results of chromatographic analysis.
Year of discovery :
Isolated for the first time by Gal in 1869

Data not available.
Synthesis precursor :
Data not available.
Natural availability :
Patchoulol is, with nor-patchoulenol, one of the molecule responsible for the carasteristic odor of Patchouli EO. Literrature also says that this compound can be found in curcuma aromatica
Synthesis route :
Obtained from patchoulene (CAS N° : 1405-16-9)
