Uses
Other comments :
Compairing it with other marine and floral molecules as Floralozone® or Cyclamen Aldehyde®, Algix® has a more iodized note, reminiscent of sea salt and the dirty aspect of sea water. Other compounds are said to be ozonic : they evoke sea breeze and its olfactive volume.
Stability :
The presence of an aromatic cycle in this molecule can make it color through time.
Uses in perfumery :
Algix® is used in floral and marine perfumes, to bring a rosy and iodized note, and to make the link between a floral heart note and a marine base note.
Year of discovery :
Data not available.
Isomerism :
Algix® has one asymetric carbon, giving birth to two possible enantiomers. In perfumery, a mixture of these (R) and (S) enantiomers is used.
Synthesis precursor :
Algix® is not a precursor for the synthesis of another compound of olfactive interest.
Natural availability :
Algix® is not found in nature.
Synthesis route :
Data not available.
